True Love: Real or Fiction?

Watching my favorite TV show last night and for the last month, it got me wondering about true love. Does it really exist? Is it so rare that not everyone will get the chance at true love in their lifetime?

As a romance writer, I always write about true love. It’s not a perfect love. It’s the kind of love you cannot explain. It turns your life and your heart upside down. And, when you are separated from the one you love, you cannot breath, you cannot live. A part of your heart and soul is missing. You think you are mad. You tell yourself, ‘This is crazy.’ So, you occupy your time with work or other activities. But, at night, alone with your thoughts, you can feel the person you love with all your heart and soul.

True love gives your life meaning. I didn’t believe this for the longest time, until I met the man I share my life with today. Somedays, I wonder if I’m dreaming or he is truly the one for me. Life throws obstacles our way. Yet, we find our way back to each other, somehow. Our love becomes an inspiration for me when I write my books. I love the way he inspired  ne. He’s perfect. No one is perfect. Our human traits sometimes get in the way. But, our souls remind us of the love we share.

I know finding love these days isn’t easy. But it’s not something you find. It comes to you. That’s what I did four years ago. I kept my heart open and readied my soul for this amazing love I know today. When the time was right, everything fell into place with perfect synchronicity. Nothing complicated. Just love.
